Discover the songs from the movie Dear Evan Hansen

The film Dear Evan Hansen will finally be released on January 12, 2022 in France. For this great release, many changes have been made compared to the stage version, especially in terms of the songs.
Discover without further delay the list of the songs of the film Dear Evan Hansen.

Songs cut

4 songs from the stage version were cut from the film: "Anybody Have A Map", "Disappear", "Good For You" and "To Break In A Glove". What a pity, these tunes provided important elements of character development of Heidi, Evan's mother, Cynthia and Larry, parents of Connor and Zoe.
If the actress Rachel Bay Jones won the Tony Award for her portrayal of Heidi, the song "Good For You" has a lot to do with it. Hopefully we can be moved by these characters even without these poignant songs.

New releases by pop stars

Some songs have been reimagined by pop singers like Sam Smith, Carrie Underwood or SZA. Which means that these songs will not be interpreted by the characters but used as a soundtrack… Why not? We can already discover "Only Us", interpreted here by Carrie Underwood:

New songs

That's not all ! 2 new songs make their appearances in the film Dear Evan Hansen. First of all “A Little Closer” which was composed by Finneas O'Connell, brother and producer of Billie Eilish). This new song will be sung by the character of Connor (performed by Colton Ryan). In the stage version, Connor only appears on stage for 15 minutes. So it will be interesting to see a new song and a new side of this character.

The second novelty is signed Pasek & Paul, the composers of the musical. Named "The Anonymous Ones", it will be sung by Amandla Stenberg (Alana Beck). Then it will be around the singer of RnB SZA to resume it a little later in the film. Ditto here, it is intriguing to find out more about Alana Beck.

So what do you think of all these changes? In addition to the songs, many characters have made their appearances: Oliver, Rhys, Gemma and others have had some adaptations… We let you discover them in the cinema on January 22nd.
As much to say to you that we are impatient to discover the film with the prestigious cast: Ben Platt, Amy Adams, Julianne Moore, Kaitlyn Dever, and many others.
