(42nd Street)

Summary of the musical 42nd Street :

42nd Street tells the story of Peggy Sawyer. Arrived from New York from Allentown, she has dreams in her head and tap dancing on her feet. Peggy's talent caught the eye of legendary Broadway producer Julian Marsh, who gave her a place in the backing vocals of pretty lady, his new show. Dorothy Black, Broadway diva and star of the show, doesn't like young Peggy. When Dorothy gets hurt, the show has to shut down unless it finds a young enough talented woman to take over – someone like Peggy Sawyer!
It is the rise for Peggy who goes from showgirl to star and who embodies the American dream.
42nd Street is full of grandiose ensemble numbers and superb tap dance choreographies!
