Summary of the musical A Chorus Line :
A Chorus Line examines one day in the life of seventeen dancers, all hoping for a place in the backing vocals of a Broadway musical.
In the second audition round, Zach, the director and choreographer, asks each dancer to talk about their lives. Embarrassment begins in revelation, confession leads to redemption, and within the bright and seemingly homogeneous choir, the audience begins to see the individuality of each dancer. From Cassie, the star who just needs "the music, the mirror and the chance to dance", to Val, a small town girl with a brand new body, to Mike, who has taken the place. of her sister in a dance class.
Based on real stories of Broadway dancers, as told to fellow dancer and choreographer Michael Bennett, A Chorus Line is funny, heartbreaking and refreshing and honest.
