Amélie

Summary of the musical Amélie :

If times are tough for dreamers, dreaming is all Amélie Poulain does. After surviving a tragic and isolated childhood, Amélie sets out on her own for Paris. She made friends from all walks of life: Suzanne, trapeze artist turned restaurateur; Georgette, hypochondriac tobacconist; Julian Dufayel, an artist with fragile bone disease; and many others.
Amélie discovers by chance, in the floor of her apartment, a box of children's treasures. Seeing the joy that this brings to Bretodeau, the caretaker of the building, Amélie decides to anonymously do good to those around her.
Most importantly, Amélie finds love in a photo album: Nino, a mysterious young man.
Amélie lives safely in her imaginary world, but she knows it is time to go out of her dreams and find joy for herself.

With a romantic score, colorful characters and a world of fantastic fun, Amélie is a beautiful story for the dreamer who resides in all of us.
