Fame

Fame follows the adventures of the illustrious New York Performing Arts High School's last class, from 1980 until graduation in 1984.
We follow several students, their struggles, their triumphs and their tumultuous relationships.
We see their struggles with ambition, fame and self-confidence through the eyes of students such as
Carmen is an ambitious dancer obsessed with glory, Nick is a serious actor. Mabel is an overweight dancer and the talented dancer Tyrone is struggling desperately with dyslexia.
The musical touch on complex issues, such as racial prejudice, drug addiction and sexual exploitation, as the young performers explore the realities of finding a career in showbusiness.
