Summary of the musical Romeo and Juliet :
In Verona, the Capulets and the Montagues are feuding families. The Capulets organize a grand ball in honor of their daughter Juliette, hoping to introduce her to her suitor Paris. But Roméo Montaigu came secretly to the ball with Benvolio and Mercutio. At first sight, Romeo and Juliet instantly fall in love with each other. Even when they learn that their families are enemies, they can't help but swear loyalty to each other. Brother Laurent, touched by their love, agrees to marry them in secret.
Tybalt, Juliet's cousin, provokes Romeo and his gang. When he kills Mercutio, Romeo avenges his friend by killing Tybalt. For his crime, Romeo is banished to Mantua. But the next day, Count Capulet decides to marry Juliet to her suitor Paris. She then asks for help from Brother Laurent who gives her a poison. This poison will make Juliette pass for dead until he arranges with the families and warns Romeo, who will come and fetch her when he wakes up in the family vault. However Benvolio, unaware of the subterfuge, attends the announcement of Juliet's death and runs to warn Romeo before Brother Laurent's messenger can explain the stratagem to him. Romeo rushes to Verona and, discovering his love whom he believes to be dead, kills himself. When she wakes up, Juliette finds her lover dead and kills herself. The two families, overwhelmed, will be reconciled over the bodies of their children, now united forever.
