Summary of the musical The Bridges of Madison County :

Francesca, of Italian origin, is a devoted mother and loving wife, who lives a simple life on her farm in Iowa. Everything changes when her husband and children go to the Indianapolis State Fair, leaving Francesca alone.
Francesca is surprised by Robert Kincaid, photographer for National Geographic. He asks her how to get to the famous covered bridges of Madison County. Francesca agrees to help him and the two get along well and like each other. Thus begins a four-day passionate love story that will continue to exist long after their separation.
