The Music Man

Summary of the musical The Music Man :

When Harold Hill arrives in a small town in Iowa, he tries to trick its residents with a sophisticated scheme. He will convince everyone that he is a brilliant conductor despite his total lack of musical knowledge. He will recruit all the boys in town to form a band, pocket money to buy instruments and uniforms. The problem ? Some members of the town, notably the librarian, Marian Paroo, don't quite believe Harold's story. As Harold struggles to keep his project afloat, he becomes increasingly attached to the townspeople, all of whom have experienced positive change since arriving in town. To complicate matters even more, Harold falls head over heels in love with the beautiful Marian.
