Summary of the musical The Pajama Game :

At the Sleep-Tite pajama factory in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, romance is in the air. New Superintendent Sid Sorokin has a crush on “Babe Williams,” the fiery Union representative. And if she pretends not to be interested in love, it seems that she has fallen for him.
Sleep-Tite employees are denied a 7 cent raise which forces the pair to find themselves on opposite sides of the union strike.
Babe and Sid must learn to love each other as their opposing beliefs tear them apart.
