Thoroughly Modern Millie

Summary of the musical Throughly Modern Millie :

It's 1922 and little Millie Dillmount has just arrived in New York, ready to fulfill her dreams. His plan is simple: find a secretarial job with an eligible bachelor, then marry him.
But her “completely modern” plan goes wrong: as soon as she arrives, they steal all her belongings. She finds help from the cynical Jimmy. Then its owner, Mrs. Meers plots to kidnap her best friend, Miss Dorothy, and sell her into slavery in Hong Kong.
She lands a job as a stenographer with wealthy boss Traevor Graydon III but he seems totally disinterested in her flirtations. Worse still, the man she falls madly in love with doesn't have a penny.
