Yes, you read that right, on January 28, the hit musical by Dolly Parton will open in the West End at the Savoy Theater.
While the Savoy will say goodbye to Dreamgirls on January 12, 9 5 to will replace the musical from January 28 to August 31, 2019.
The production features English singer Louise Redknapp as Violet Newstead. Amber Davies, who recently won the 'Love Island' reality TV show, will play Judy Bernly; Natalie McQueen, who currently appears in Kinky Boots across the street will be Doralee Rhodes. Finally, Brian Conley (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Me and My Girl) will be Franklin Hart.
The musical 9 5 to is based on the film of the same name from 1980 and includes the music of Dolly Parton, the queen of country. The booklet is signed Patricia Resnick and the staging is signed Jeff Calhoun.
