The musical Les Producteurs will open in fall 2021

The Producers, the musical by Mel Brooks which "keep it gay" will not finally open in September 2020 as planned. We've been waiting for the show for almost a year and we'll have to wait a little longer ...
Alexis Michalik will direct the musical.
We can not wait to discover the proposals of the director who has already edited his own texts such as The History Bearer, The Circle of Illusionists, Edmond or even Intramural, all critically acclaimed.

The Théâtre de Paris, where the show will take place, announced this morning that:

The Tony Award-winning masterpiece by Mel Brooks was originally scheduled to be presented on stage in France in September 2020 at the Théâtre de Paris. Taking into account the current context of recrudescence of the epidemic, and the health constraints which result from it, the co-producers estimated that a show of such magnitude could not calmly be put on in the months to come.

The launch date will be specified shortly. "

Another blow for the year 2020. If all the projects are staggered, the year 2021, it promises to be full of hope and beautiful shows.

In the meantime, I'll let you enjoy "Keep It Gay", from the 2005 film, directed by Susan Stroman:

More The Producers, What is that ?

The Producers, its English title, is a musical by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan with a wacky subject:
Declining producer Max Bialystock finds an unlikely ally in accountant Leo Bloom. The latter assumes that one could win much more with a flop than with a success. Together they decide to produce the worst Broadway musical of all time, with the worst script, worst director and worst cast they can find.
But this show has many surprises in store for them ...

The stage musical is an adaptation of Mel Brooks' 1967 film. The stage version was a huge success and broke all records by postponing 12 Tony Awards in 2001.
To find out more about the musical The Producers, it's this way.

We'll know more about the new production dates for the show soon. The ticket office will soon be open on the site of the Théâtre de Paris.
