The musical Spamalot at the Théâtre de Paris in September 2023

The hilarious Monthy Python musical is coming to Paris in September 2023.

A Stage Entertainment production

It was Stage Entertainment who announced the good news in a press release. Musical comedy Spamalot returns 10 years after its success in Paris, first at the Comédie in 2010 then at Bobino in 2013. Arnaud Ducret and Andy Cocq were there in the staging by Pierre-François Martin-Laval. For this return, Pierre-François Martin-Laval resumes his staging!

A hilarious story and songs

Who says Monthy Python says sketches galore and songs to cry with laughter. The musical is an adaptation of the 1975 film Holy Grail!. It was one of the Monthy Pythons, Eric Idle, who adapted it on stage, with music by John Du Prez. The story takes up the legend of King Arthur with gags galore.

As for the music, we remember "His Name is Lancelot", the disco song where we push Lancelot to confess his homosexuality or "Whatever Happened To My Part" where the lady of the lake laments not being enough on stage. And then of course, the final anthem, "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life" knows how to put balm in the heart.

The musical Spamalot on Broadway, which played nearly 1600 performances.

To know everything about the musical comedy Spamalot, it's this way.

In 2021, there was talk of the musical being adapted into a film, but no news since... Still, we are very excited to see this stage version again in Paris!
