(An American in Paris)

Jerry Mulligan is a former soldier who decided to stay in Paris after the war to be a painter. He is surrounded by his two friends: Adam, a pianist who is the partner of Henri, a French singer. All three have a hard time making a living from their arts. Rich Milo Roberts meets Jerry and offers to help him in his career. However, she is clearly more interested in Jerry than in his paintings. She rents him a studio and plans his first exhibition. Yet Jerry fell under the spell of Lise Bouvier, young and beautiful French. Lise also falls for Jerry but she is already Henri's companion, to whom she feels indebted because he saved her family during the war. The two lovers She has little time to decide.

The musical features George Gershwin's standards like "I Got Rhythm", "The Man I Love" and "S'Wonderful". This work includes an absolutely wonderful 20 minute classical dance sequence.
