Anything Goes

Billy, a young broker, takes refuge on the SS American boat, with the help of third-rank gangster Moonface Martin and his girlfriend Erma, in order to pursue his love for Hope. But Hope is engaged to another passenger, Sir Evelyn Oakleigh. Once on board, Billy uses the talent of his friend Reno Sweeney, a nightclub singer, to woo Hope. Reno and Billy use savage disguises and even blackmail to keep Hope away from Oakleigh. But things get complicated when Billy doesn't have the same feelings for Reno.
