Summary of the musical Be More Chill :

Jeremy is a high school student who has fallen for Christine. But he is far from popular and is always the victims of the mockery of his comrades.
Hoping to get cooler and finally conquer Christine, Jeremy swallows the Squip, a quantum supercomputer in pill form. The Squip acts as his life coach and instructs Jeremy on how to behave, encourages him to play sports, and helps him navigate social situations that increase his popularity.
As the Squip grows more and more malicious, Jeremy begins to doubt his advice. Is he ready to sacrifice his relationship with his best friend and his crush for his popularity? He decides to get rid of the Squip, but this action will have very unexpected consequences ...
