Betty blue eyes

In a small town in northern England in 1947, citizens were subjected to food rationing. Some local businessmen want to throw a party to celebrate Princess Elizabeth's royal wedding to Prince Philip and illegally decide to breed a pig on the occasion. But Gilbert, an evangelist podiatrist, and Joyce, a piano teacher who dreams of being someone, are not invited. Joyce then forces her husband to steal the pig. Meanwhile, an inspector is determined to stop illegal activities that circumvent rationing.
