Camelot

Summary of the musical Camelot:

Camelot opens in the midst of the battle that destroyed King Arthur's kingdom and goes back to the origin of the conflict. After extracting the Excalibur sword from its boulder, Arthur is named king. He is ambitious and idealistic and dreams of creating a just society. Arthur's dream is inspired by his queen Guenevere. Together, they create a kingdom where power works in the service of justice. The round table does not have a leader as a symbol of collaboration and unity. But the moment this utopian vision begins to come true, everything collapses.
When Guenevere falls in love with Arthur's most loyal knight, Lancelot, they begin a romance as forbidden as it is passionate. Their troubles escalate when Arthur's illegitimate son, Mordred arrives. In a world of human realities, can Camelot's kingdom be the utopia Arthur dreams of?
