Cinderella (Rodgers & Hammerstein)

The King and Queen have planned a ball for the Prince's 21st birthday. They hope he finds his pretend but the prince is not very enthusiastic. Meanwhile, Cinderella's overdressed stepmom and sisters-in-law head to the ball. Cinderella, dreams of going to the ball. Her fairy godmother arrives and listens to Cinderella's fantasies. Even if they seem impossible, she grants her wishes: her clothes are transformed into a ball gown as well as a pumpkin in a carriage. But she warns her that she will absolutely have to leave the ball before midnight because the magic will fade.
Cinderella arrives at the ball and dances with the prince. They instantly fall in love. This infuriates the sisters-in-law, who do not know it is Cinderella. The Prince declares his love for Cinderella but is interrupted by the clock striking midnight. Cinderella, frightened, flees the palace and leaves her glass slipper there.

The next day, the prince is determined to find the owner of the slipper. From house to house, we try the glass slipper, but it is in vain. The prince is discouraged. Fortunately, the godmother rearranges things and Cinderella appears before the prince: the slipper fits perfectly.
All's well that ends well and lovers have the right to a resplendent marriage, in which the godmother reminds us that "impossible things happen every day".
