Floyd collins

Floyd Collins, explores the caves of Sand Cave, uses the echoes of his voice to probe the region. He falls into a narrow passage and his foot becomes trapped. He gets stuck between the rocks. His family and fellow cavers try to free him. When it becomes clear that his rescue will not be easy, his brother Homer spends the night in the cave with him.
William Burke "Skeets" Miller, a little man, is able to walk through and visit Floyd, telling him stories that have been published in the news.
Despite the efforts of the miners, the National Guard and the Red Cross, rescue attempts failed. The crowd grew outside the cave when a media circus ensued.

Seventeen days after Floyd entered the cave, we finally reach him. But Floyd had died three days earlier.
