Hair

Summary of the musical Hair:

Hair follows a group of young New York hippies who fight against American policies, take drugs and free themselves from all social constraints. It's 1967: the Vietnam War is raging.
Claude, Berger (his best friend), Sheila (their roommate) and their tribe of friends struggle to balance the demands of the violent world with their dream of a better, more peaceful world.
When Claude receives his mobilization letter to go fight, he joins his friends to resist. Together, they will not bow to the pressures of society and their conservative families.

A real culture shock when it premiered on Broadway, Hair explores themes of civil disobedience, sexual revolution, drugs and hippie counterculture.
