Summary of the musical The ten Commandments :
The musical follows the entire life of Moses. The story begins when Moses, an infant, is found in a basket on the banks of the Nile. He is raised by Bithia, the sister of Pharaoh Seti who gave the order to kill all the first born Hebrews. Thus, Moses grew up alongside Ramses, the son of the Pharaoh.
But when Moses witnesses an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, Moses kills the Egyptian. The Pharaoh learning this, decides to have Moses killed. He then escapes into the desert where he is welcomed by Jethro and his daughters.
Having become a shepherd, he one day hears the voice of God telling him that he must guide the Hebrew people out of Egypt. After having fought with Ramses, become Pharaoh, this last yields and offers freedom to the Hebrews.
Then begins the Exodus of the people, guided by Moses who, with his stick, will separate the Red Sea before arriving at Mount Sinai. God speaks to him again and instructs him in the 10 commandments that will allow the people to live united and happy.
