Local Hero

Local Hero tells the story of a representative of an American oil company. He is sent to the fictional village of Furness on the west coast of Scotland to buy the town and surrounding properties for his business. But putting a price on the village is harder than it seems.

It is Mark Knopfler, the guitarist of Dire Straits who signs the original score, with folk and rock sounds. It's an adaptation of the 1983 Bill Forsyth film.
