On the Town

The show follows three sailors on leave for 24 hours in New York City. before returning to battle in World War II. Ozzie is looking for a date, or rather seven or eight. The studious and innocent Chip, guide in hand, has several days of noted tourist attractions on a list. But when the idealistic Gabey sees the photo of the lovely Miss Turnstiles in the subway, he instantly falls for it. They all embark on a treasure hunt around the city to locate this dream girl. Along the way, find the secrets, the adventure, and the New York atmosphere they wanted.
The sailors are joined by Claire, a refined anthropologist and Hildy, an aggressive taxi driver. The three men walk through museums, nightclubs, Carnegie Hall and Coney Island before Gabey and Ivy are finally reunited.
