Ragtime

The plot follows three different families in search of the American dream in New York's “melting pot” at the turn of the century.
Ragtime confronts the contradictions of the American reality: wealth and poverty, freedom and prejudice, hope and reality.
The worlds of a rich white couple, a Jewish immigrant father and his daughter as well as an African American ragtime musician mingle.
Together, they discover the surprising interrelations of the human heart, the limits of justice.

Ragtime features many of the historical figures who shaped turn-of-the-century America, including JP Morgan, Emma Goldman, Harry Houdini, Evelyn Nesbit, and Henry Ford.
