Romantics Anonymous is an adaptation of the 2010 Franco-Belgian film The emotional anonymous, with Benoît Poelvoorde and Isabelle Carré.
Angélique is a gifted chocolatier who worked for 7 years as Mercier's master chocolatier, working in the shadows behind the fictional identity of an anonymous hermit. When Mercier dies, she starts working in Jean-René's chocolate factory on the verge of bankruptcy. Their shared passion for chocolate brings them together quickly and they fall in love, but their pathological shyness prevents them from admitting it to each other. Jean-René, very emotional, consults a psychologist, while Angélique joins a group of anonymous emotional.
