Summary of the musical Sister Act :
Deloris Van Cartier is a singer who dreams of performing in the casino of Curtis, her gangster boyfriend. As she decides to break up with him, she catches him killing one of his associates. Deloris takes refuge with the police and finds help with policeman Eddie, who hides her… in a convent.
At first, Deloris sees convent life and the Mother Superior's severity as the worst punishment. But as soon as she takes charge of the convent choir, everything changes. She teaches the sisters to find their voice, sing soul and ends up saving the parish. She befriends the nuns, who are not that different from her.
However, these singing nuns don't go unnoticed, and Curtis is hot on Deloris' trail. Fortunately, she can count on the love and strength of her sisters!
