Quasimodo is the hunchback of Notre-Dame. Her greatest desire is to one day be part of the outside world and mingle with the crowds. He takes his courage in both hands and attend "the feast of fools". There he meets Esmeralda, a compassionate gypsy who protects him from an angry mob.
But Quasimodo's master, Archdeacon Frollo, and the new captain of the guard, Phoebus, also fall in love with Esmeralda.
Frollo's derision comes on top of the years of psychological abuse Quasimodo endured. In Paris, the danger grows, because the gypsies who are ready to kill anyone who will venture into their secret hiding place. But before Paris is burnt to the ground, will Quasimodo be able to save Esmeralda from Frollo's desire and anger?
