Summary of the musical The Lion King :

After being anointed as the next king of the jungle, young lion cub Simba hopes to follow in the footsteps of his father, Mufasa, as ruler of the kingdom. However, this makes Scar, Simba's evil uncle, jealous of him. When Mufasa is suddenly murdered by Scar, Simba feels responsible for his death and flees. He meets two outcasts named Timon and Pumbaa, and ends up adopting their carefree ways of life: 'Hakuna Matata'. Years later, approached by his childhood friend Nala and the wise baboon Rafiki, Simba must return home to end Scar's evil reign and fulfill his destiny as the new king.
