April 10, 1912: the Titanic leaves London for its maiden voyage across the Atlantic. It is touted as "the largest floating object in the world". As the crew board the passengers, the mosaic of characters is introduced and their conversations reveal their social status and satisfaction with life.
Titanic captures the stories of all humanity aboard the ship: from workers in the boiler room, to some of the richest men of the time, including John Jacob Astor and Benjamin Guggenheim.
But on April 15, the "unsinkable" ship sank, killing more than 1 men, women and children.
