Back To The Future arrives in London

It's now confirmed! Back To The Future The Musical will be in London in May 2021.

The musical opened in Manchester but was its run was cut short due to COVID.
During the few weeks of performances in Manchester, the show received superb reviews. The London transfer was highly anticipated.

It will finally be at the Adelphi Theatre that the show will open next May. The show will play from May 14 to September 26, 2021. The musical will only run for a few months to give way to Hello, Dolly! whose production has also been postponed.

The 1985 cinematographic phenomenon

The Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis science fiction film was released in 1985. The film was so successful that two more films followed soon after. A series, a video game and even an attraction at Universal Studios also emerged. 35 years later, the film is a pop culture icon.
The prototype of self-lacing shoes, imagined in the film, were produced by Nike and are wroth $ 70,000!

What is it about ?

Back To The Future is about young Marty who accidentally travels back in time with his friend Doc. He gets in the way of his parents meeting and must find a way to make his parents fall in love but above all, he has to find a way to go back to the future!

The creative and artistic team of the show

The duo Gale & Zemeckis adapted their scripts for the stage. Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard sign the brand new score alongside iconic songs from the film: "The Power of Love", "Back In Time" and "Johnny B. Goode"

Back to the Future the Musical in London is directed by John Rando, with Tim Hatley (sets and costumes), Tim Lutkin (lighting), Finn Ross (video design) and Chris Bailey (choreography).

The cast includes Roger Bart as Doc, and Olly Dobson as Marty McFly. It also includes Hugh Coles, Rosanna Hyland, Cedric Neal, Aidan Cutler and Courtney-Mae Briggs.
