The production of the Donmar Warehouse from the play by Lynn Nottage, Sweat, makes its transfer to the West End on June 7 The piece received the Pulitzer Prize in 2015. It will be at the Gielgud Theater in London for a limited duration of 6 weeks, that is to say 50 performances.
The cast includes: Leanne Best (Jessie), Osy Ikhile (Chris), Wil Johnson (Brucie), Stuart McQuarrie (Stan), Clare Perkins (Cynthia), Martha Plimpton (Tracey), Sule Rimi (Evan) and Sebastian Viveros (Oscar ).
The play is directed by Lynette Linton.
Sweat was nominated in the Best New Piece category of the Olivier Awards. The ceremony will take place on Sunday April 7.
