Supposed to start in October 2020, the show has been postponed to April 2021.

Feedback on the phenomenon show

The musical Frozen is an adaptation of the 2008 animated film. Snow Queen (in French) is the animated film with the best box office receipts. Its success has been accompanied by several awards: 2 Oscars, 1 BAFTA and 1 Golden Globe.
The sequel to the film was released in 2019 and is a huge hit too!

It was the trio behind the film who adapted it for the stage. Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez sign the music and Jennifer Lee the libretto. For the scene they added some superb titles: "Monster" "What Do You Know About Love" as well as "Dangerous To Dream".

The show opened on Broadway in March 2018 and was a big box office hit grossing $ 150 million from a production that cost $ 35 million to produce. However, the musical has won only one award: the Drama Desk Award for its puppets. In this staging, the characters of Sven (the queen) and Olaf (the snowman) are puppets. They are manipulated but also inhabited by the actors. We can see it in this video with actor Andrew Pirozzi playing Sven on Broadway:

The Covid-19 epidemic forced American theaters to close last March. Unfortunately, the show will not reopen on Broadway. But the American tour will resume in January 2021.
