Claire Foy, Matt Smith, Alan Cumming and Daniel Radcliffe announced for the new season of the Old Vic

The Old Vic's artistic director, Matthew Warchus, announces the programming for his 5th season in the theater.

Claire Foy and Matt Smith who play Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philippe on screen in the series The Crown will soon be reunited on stage. They will be in Duncan Macmillan's play Lungs, directed by Matthew Warchus.

Daniel Radcliffe will be alongside Alan Cumming to star in Endgame (Translation: Game over) and Rough For Theater II by Samuel Beckett. The production will play from January 27, 2020, with a staging by Richard Jones.

A Very Expensive Poison by Lucy Prebble, which chronicles the murder of Alexander Litvinenko, will begin on August 19. John Crowley will be the director, the full cast has yet to be announced.
The play by Bill Forsyth and David Greig Local Hero premiered in Edinburgh earlier this year. The coin transfers to London from June 18, 2020.
A Christmas Carol by Jack Thorne will be back for a third year during the Christmas period.

Some commissions will also be showing. Ella Hickson re-imagines theOedipus Rex from Sophocles.
An enemy of the people d'Ibsen will be adapted by Simon Stephens. Sarah Frakcom will direct a new play by Paul Unwin on the NHS (English social security).
The musical Sylvia is still in development after its stint in London last fall.
The adaptation of A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness, directed by Sally Cookson and winner of an Olivier Award, will open in Washington after his tour of London. Girl from the North Country by Conor McPherson will play in Toronto.

The theater announced a new loyalty program, OV Extra, as well as Matinee Idols aimed at people over 60. They offer the possibility of attending a morning at low cost. Seniors can also participate in a social event before or after the show.
