Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in London next summer

Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, the first collaboration between composer Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyricist Tim Rice, will be on stage at the London Palladium next summer.

Donny Osmond plays Joseph in the 1999 film adaptation.
The story

The musical is fully sung with the help of a narrator and a children's choir and tells the story of Jacob's favorite son, Joseph, and his eleven brothers. After being sold into slavery by his brothers, he poses as the Egyptian nobleman Potiphar, but ends up in prison after refusing the advances of Potiphar's wife. During his incarceration, Joseph discovers his ability to interpret dreams and quickly finds himself in front of the pharaoh. As Joseph strives to resolve the Egyptian famine, he becomes the pharaoh's right-hand man and eventually reunites with his family.

Released as a concept album (rock album that includes a cycle of songs grouped around the same theme) in 1969, the stage version of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat has grown into one of the world's most beloved family musicals. It's a very kitsch musical in its lyrics and costumes and yet it is a hit around the globe: it has been performed in the West End and on Broadway and across the world in over 80 countries such as Zimbabwe and the Peru!
There are standards of musical comedy like " Any Dream Will Do"," Close Every Door To Me "and" Go Go Joseph"

This musical marks the first collaboration between Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. Together they will write Jesus Christ Superstar et Evita.

The new production will play from June 26 to September 8 and will have a brand new creative team to be announced soon.
