The musical adaptation of Mrs. Doubtfire, makes its world premiere in Seattle this fall. The show will transfer to the Sondheim Theater on Broadway from March 9, 2020.
The main role is held by Rob McClure, who is currently in Beetlejuice on Broadway. The cast is completed by Jenn Gambatese, Brad Oscar, Analise Scarpaci, Jake Ryan Flynn and many more.
The musical is based on the 1993 film starring Robin Williams in the title role. The plot follows a recently divorced actor who disguises himself as a nanny to spend time with his children who are in the care of his ex-wife.
Mrs. Doubtfire includes a score by Wayne and Karey Kirkpatrick. The libretto is co-signed by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O'Farrell.
Jerry Zaks directs and Lorin Latarro choreographs the show under the musical direction of Ethan Popp.
