Hamilton movie hits Disney + in July

Composer Lin-Manuel Miranda announced today that his Hamilton, would arrive on Disney + on July 3, 2020:

This film recording was supposed to be released in theaters and on Disney + on October 21, 2021. The company spent $ 75 million to acquire the rights to the recording of the musical.
The show will no longer be released at the cinema but will be exclusively available on the streaming platform.
It is one of the most anticipated event of the new streaming platform which was launched in November 2019.

The musical has been a huge success on Broadway since 2015. The show, fully sung and grated, won 11 Tony Awards!
The recording includes (almost) the entirety of the original troupe. We can therefore find Lin-Manuel Miranda, Leslie Odom Jr., Christopher Jackson, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Daveed Diggs, Jonathan Groff, Anthony Ramos and others.
The recording, renamed #Hamilfilm on social networks, was recorded on three performances two weeks before the departure of the original troop.
