Merrily We Roll Along adapted in film with Ben Platt and Beanie Feldstein

Merrily We Roll Along is the musical that marks the latest collaboration between producer Harold Prince (died July 31) and composer Stephen Sondheim.
When the production opened on Broadway, it was not well received and closed after 44 performances.
Yet the musical is a masterpiece and will experience a real craze among fans of musicals.

There is a superb documentary that traces Merrily's original production. This documentary, entitled Best Worst Thing That Ever Could Have Happened, is directed by Lonny Price, member of the original production. It is particularly touching and a true testament to the genius work of Stephen Sondheim.
This documentary is available on Netflix!

The musical follows 3 artist friends over 20 years. Director Richard Linklater will shoot this film for 20 years! We hope it will be as moving as Boyhood (film that was shot over 12 years!).

Beanie Feldstein and Ben Platt, friendship goals

Ben Platt is known to have created the role of Evan in Dear Evan Hansen. This performance earned him the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical. He also released an album "Sing to Me Instead" and appears in The Politician on the screen.
Beanie Feldstein is so cool, we made it the portrait here! We could see him on Broadway in Hello, Dolly! and on the screen in Lady Bird et Booksmart.
In short, they are best friends in real life and super talented: this adaptation will be fantastic.

They are joined by Blake Jenner, who played Ryder Lynn in the series Glee.

To discover in 20 years!
