Definitely, the rock opera Starmania knows how to keep waiting: the show is postponed again to the fall of 2022.
In a press release, producer Fimalac Entertainment announced the new postponement of the medical comedy:
Given the new announcements from the President of the Republic of March 31, 2021 and the total lack of visibility for the coming months, the group FIMALAC ENTERTAINMENT is forced, once again, to reporter STARMANIA, the Opéra Rock by Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon, directed by Thomas Jolly and choreographed by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.

The show will now be presented FROM FALL 2022.
Still uncertain future?
The rock opera was due to see the light of day at Seine Musicale in November 2020. A first postponement was scheduled for November 2021. This second postponement has no specific date: a sign that producers are waiting for more information from the government before committing to a date.
In March, a new notice of hearing was published. The deadline to apply was March 7. But with this new postponement, the casting process could be lengthened again. The press release announces the impossibility of travel of the international cast. It is very likely that the casting director brought in international artists. It seems all the same that Monopolis has not yet found its main performers: Marie-Jeanne, Johnny Rockfort, Cristal and Ziggy.
Regarding ticket refunds, it will not be possible to transfer old tickets to another date. All spectators will be reimbursed directly and will have to book again. This suggests a change in prices or strategy on the part of production ... Anyway, you can again book your tickets from June 1, 2021.
Coming soon on tour!
If this postponement announcement is still a blow to fans of Michel Berger, there is still good news. The rock opera will be on tour in France, Switzerland and Belgium from February 2023!

A look back at the Starmania phenomenon
Starmania was released in 1978 as a record album. We find the voices of France Gall, Daniel Balavoine, Fabienne Thibeault, Claude Dubois.
