Real name Elizabeth, she grew up in Los Angeles with her brothers and had an English nanny who renamed her Beanie. This nickname, she chooses to keep it for her artist name.
Besides, one of his brothers is none other than Jonah Hill (The wolf of Wall Street, 21 Jump Street,…). When the actress was in Hello, Dolly! on Broadway, her brother Jonah Hill got a “Hello Beanie” tattoo on his arm. That's love!


His face is surely familiar to you

Just graduated, she landed a role in Our worst neighbors 2 with Seth Rogen, Zac Efron and Chloë Grace Moretz. She also makes a brief appearance in the series. Orange is the New Black in 2015. Then in 2017, she was named one of the eight “Breakthrough Entertainers” (Artistic Discovery) of the year by Associated Press News.

She was playing Hello, Dolly! on Broadway and from Lady Bird cinema

August 2016: Beanie receives an email from his agents. They read a script and one of the roles fits her perfectly: sweet, chubby and getting the lead role in her high school musical. Two weeks after her audition in front of director Greta Gerwig, she obtained the role of Julie, the loyal friend of Lady Bird. Rebelote in 2018, she plays Molly in Booksmart, alongside Katilyn Dever.
As she turns Lady Bird, producer Scott Rudin recommends her for the role of Minnie Faye in Hello, Dolly!. She auditions and lands the role. We understand why: just watch his videos singing “Meadowlark” to understand that she is the next Bette Midler with whom she shared the stage eight times a week. It was finally in April 2017 that she made her "Broadway debut" at the Shubert Theater where she played Minnie Faye, Irene Molloy's (Kate Baldwin) assistant at the hat store.

She follows in the footsteps of Barbra Streisand

Beanie Feldstein was cast as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl on Broadway. She succeeds Barbra Streisand in the role that has earned the consecration of the actress. This is the first time the show has returned to Broadway since 1964!

She's been a musical since childhood

Beanie Feldstein begins making children's musicals in the playgrounds of Los Angeles. She remembers playing Ingrid Von Trapp, an invented character from The Sound of Music! She also goes to musical summer camps, notably with Ben Platt (and yes, they are inseparable).
Within her school and her community theater, she interprets roles such as Princess Winnifred in Once Upon a Mattress at the age of 11, then Dorothy Brock in 42nd Street at the age of 14, Teen Annie in Oklahoma and many others. She already has only one dream in mind: Broadway!


She is best friend with Ben Platt

Ben and Beanie meet at a Bat Mitzvah. He will then join his school in 9th Grade (the first year of American high school).
On his 16th birthday, Beanie gave Ben Platt cufflinks with a "For when you win your first Tony" note. Of course, when Ben Platt won the Tony for Best Actor for Dear Evan Hansen, he proudly wears the cufflinks!
They spend all their time together and it is not impossible that Ben Platt invites him to do a duet on his album!
They give interviews together et support each otherely on social networks! 

But that's not all, in addition to being BFFs in real life, they are also on screen. Both actors were chosen for the film adaptation of Merrily We Roll Along. This Stephen Sondheim musical is adapted by Richard Linklater and will be filmed over 20 years! See you in 2040 to see the result.

She has a BA in Sociology

Beanie is continuing his studies at Wesleyan University in Connecticut, which also happens to be the university where Lin-Manuel Miranda also studied! She completed her degree with a major in sociology.
